NePos
Till, kitchen board and self-order kiosk — one LAN-first stack restaurants can run without the cloud.
The brief
Restaurant EPOS that keeps serving offline
Venues were paying enterprise POS fees for cloud tools that stall mid-service when Wi‑Fi dies. Independents needed a real till, kitchen screen and kiosk they own — installers on Windows, menu and floors staff can run, multi-station sync on the LAN — without locking the floor to someone else's SaaS.
What we shipped
- Service keeps moving offline: server till holds the truth; extra stations sync over LAN when the line is up
- Three surfaces, one product — staff till with modifiers and barcodes, kitchen display, and a guest self-order kiosk
- Floor plans and open table tabs so the room matches the screen; table-order flow for pay-at-end dining
- Windows installers for EPOS, Kiosk and Kitchen — not a Node install on the pass
- Back office operators care about: products and courses, printers and templates, shifts, vouchers, reports and PIN login
- Next.js
- TypeScript
- Prisma
- SQLite
- Tauri
- LAN sync
